The First Post

I feel lIke first blog posts are akward. It's like I have this crazy desire to tell you my whole unabridged life story the first day you meet me. I have been wanting to start a blog for awhile now. Mostly because our family is spread out and I think this will be a fun easy way to keep up. Secondly because I spend a lot of time reading other people’s blogs and I am inspired. Plus I know how fun it can be to hear someone else story first hand. So with all that said, I am just going to drop you right in the middle of my story. :D

My hubby and I are expecting our first baby, a little girl. I am 29 weeks along and SOOOOO excited about having a little one to share our world with. 

Im currently working on a few projects to spice up her space a little bit. For those of you who know me already, you know that I am not a pink person. It's just not my "go to color", but for some reason I was totally drawn to these colors for our little one's dresser. A dresser which my lovely mother-in-law gave us, and we are just fancying it up a bit. Our little girl's dresser started out brown and we decided to spray paint it. There are tons of great spray painting tutorials online, but I will just say for ours, I just wiped it down really well and primed it. No sanding necessary.

So, I purchased these two colors (winter grey and berry pink by rust-oleum) and a can of primer (also made by rust-oleum) This is what we have now. My apologies for the bad "before photos" Im still getting used to my new camera.
                                     
So our dresser went from the brown above to primer white.

To a lovely pink and grey.

I have a few more sprucing up ideas, but you will just have to see those as they come :D.
